The "Music of Flowers" represents a progression from the "Language
of Flowers" which emphasized the meaning of a single type or colour
of flower. However, most flower arrangements consist of a combination
of different species of flowers, in different colours and shapes in
the same way that music is a combination of different musical notes
and rhythm. We are confident that our flower arrangements will stir
your souls and lift your spirits like your favourite songs !!!
In a modest way, we believe that the role of a florist at The Wicker
Express is similar to that of a composer. From a choice of over 600
different flower "notes", our florists carefully select the appropriate
flower species and colours to create a unique arrangement which conveys
the intended message: a lover's bouquet should have the clarity and
conviction of "I just called to say I love you", a congratulation
basket should have the power and energy of the "Charge of the Light
Brigade" & a get-well bouquet should spur one's fighting spirit like
"There ain't no mountain high enough." And, a sympathy wreath should
convey a sense of loss and mourning as well as "Candle in the Wind."

The flower arrangements in this website have been named after popular
hit songs from the present and the past. We hope our flower "songs"
will bring joy & happiness to you and the recipient, just like your
favourite songs.

There are certain The Wicker Express arrangements which have stood
the test of time. We have included a selection of our top-sellers
from our previous catalogues and newsletters. These "oldies but goodies"
are still as popular now as they were when they were first introduced.
The flower arrangements in this website are only a small sampling
of the vast musical repertoire that is possible using Mother Nature's
immense inventory of "flower" musical notes. There are literally thousands
of different flower species in different colours available during
different seasons. The only limit to creating beautiful flower arrangements
is our imagination. Also, our florists enjoy the challenge of creating
custom flowers arrangements. If you give us at least 1 week advance
notice, we can order your own very selection of premium Dutch or New
Zealand flowers and arrange them to be shipped to Hong Kong together
with our regular air shipments at no extra cost. That truly making
your own music !!!! |
